The next day I fished Jack Shumaker he is 80 years old from Reno we went back to the sand hole as we rowed up to get a spot there was fish being fought around us about 5 fish on.

The tide changed and the fishing slowed down, We started to troll around several passes until one of the rods started to bounce FISH ON! Jack fought this salmon for over 30 minutes after landing the salmon we both were tired and jack was very happy for this was a big salmon.

We went to Salmon Harbor RV to weight the fish on there scale the salmon weighted in at 61and a1/2 pounds some one called the Daily Triplicate news paper and they came out to get the story and some photos it made the front page the next day.

Riley fought the Steelhead for about 20 minuets by herself and was getting tired so dad gave her a hand by holding the rod wile Riley reeled.

I netted the Steelhead after about 35 min it was a big hen about 16 pounds the length was 34 inches and the girth was 17 inches, we got a few pitchers and let it go.
